Lonely City – Stuck in Hong Kong

Today marks one full year without leaving Hong Kong, the longest time I stayed in a city at once. Covid-19 completely changed the vibe of this usually busy metropolis. Everything seems distant from us and we cannot help but feel isolated. This past year was a mixture of emotions — lonely, lost, and terrified. Why does a city of 7 million people feel so lonely?
